Flash Tutorial: Making a GameButtons to change colours must ALWAYS be on the same layer with the thing you want it to change the colour of or it will not work
I am using MacromediaFlash8
Explanation:
Code needed after adding keyframes inside of a moiveclip(only used onkeyframes):
stop();
Doing this stops the clip from running like a normal animation
Code for items that need to be draged and droped(only used on movieclips):
on(press) {
startDrag(this);
}
on(release)
{
stopDrag();
Mouse.show();
}
This allows you to move things, use this on the clothing items or accessories.
Code to change colour (only used on buttons):
on (press) {
_root.instantname.gotoAndStop(1);
}
the instant name that you gave to your movie clip will replace "instantname" between root. and .goto
The frame number that the colour you want the button to lead to will go inbetween the ( );
When you have an item that you can drag and drop and change colour
- turn it into a button, then a movie clip
-give movieclip an instant name
-right click the movi

i've been made aware of this never before aired/banned episode of Dexter's Lab.
according to creator Genndy Tartakovsky, it is a real episode that was put into production by CN, but was unaired once they actually saw the final product.
thanks to the internet and adultswim we can now see this ep.
it's not terribly horrifying if you have a pure image of Dexter and Dee Dee in your mind.
i mean... the episode makes sense. but i can also see why it didn't air.

the guys at laser time speculate that it was an internal episode made possibly for a wrap party, that the studio would have at the end of a season or a series run.
it's possible.
i've seen a few shows that did that.

what do you think?
should it have stayed locked away?
was it only meant for CN studios workers to see?
how many other shows do you think have unaired episodes?

As I commented on youtube it was brave of them to put the beeps in the right places and not cop out as some cartoons have and move them around to try to hide what is being said. There really needs to be a adult cartoon channel that shows stuff like this. A lot of people grew up watching these shows, why shouldn't they grow up with them?
